Roofs and gutters can be severely damaged by ice buildup. Ice dams and icicles form when the accumulated snow on a roof melts, and refreezes at the eaves and valleys during the evening. As the cycle continues and the ice dam continues to grow it prevents the melted water from properly draining off of the roof. Eventually, icicles begin to form, potentially creating both structural damage and safety issues.
Raychem, Eltherm and Eltrace self-regulating heating cable range of gutter heating solutions to prevent snow and ice formation.
Our offered Raychem IceStop GM-2X, Eltherm ELSR-N and Eltrace Traceco ESR-20 self-regulating heating cables product line supplemented with complete accessory systems and can be used for roofs, gutters, downspouts made from standard roofing materials, including shake, shingle, rubber, tar, wood, metal, and plastic. When laying cables on asphalt, bitumen, roofing felt, etc., a GM-2XT cable with a special fluoropolymer jacket must be used.
Self-regulating heating cable automatically increases heat output in icy water and decreases heat output in dry air.
Self-regulating roof deicing cable has a UV-resistant, modified-polyolefin outer jacket that ensures a long life - even when exposed to all weather conditions. Simple-to-install roof heat tape is also available for deicing roofs. Cable and tape can be cut-to-length and closely spaced in gutters without risk of overheating or burn-outs.
Self-regulating with adaptable output, various temperature range applications, demand-orientated output grading, high chemical resistance, no temperature limitation required, easy to lay and to install and can be cut to length off the roll.

Components
RayClic system (only for IceStop cables)
CE20-01 heat-shrink connection and end seal kit. (only for Icestop cables)
CE16-ESR heat-shrink connection and end seal kit. (only for ELSR-N and Traceco cables)
JB16-02 junction/T connection box are designed to connect power to up to three parallel heating cables.
CCE-03-CR cold lead connection and end seal kit. (only for IceStop cables)
CCE-04-CT cold lead connection and end seal kit. (only for IceStop cables)
GM-RAKE fixing bracket for Icestop heating cables. (It provides mechanical protection of the cable as it goes over sharp edges and holds it in place at the top of drainpipe. Spacer for use in wide channels or gutters where more than one run of cable is required (a spacer is placed every 100-150 cm)
GMK-RC fixing bracket for Icestop heating cables. (The GMK-RC roof clips are used to secure heating cables to roofs and gutters.
GM-Seal-02 is used with GMK-RC roof clips and is applied on the bottom of the roof clip. (After the adhesive has set, the heating cable can be clipped between the clamps of the roof clip.)
EMDR-10 Control unit with temperature and moisture sensors
The EMDR-10 is used to ensure an energy efficient operation of the gutter snow melting sytems. Equipped with a temperature and moisture sensor, the thermostat only activates the system when detecting moisture and temperatures below zero, to ensure effective drainage of snowy water.
